Premature ejaculation affects every third man on average, often leaving emotional consequences in the form of frustration and dissatisfaction of both partners.
Premature ejaculation (PE) means reaching orgasm too quickly and ejaculation (ejaculation) during sexual intercourse. This is the most common problem of a sexual nature in men and it is estimated that about 30% of men have this problem at some level.
Although scientific research shows that three quarters of men ejaculate within 2 to 3 minutes after penetration (entry of the penis into the vagina), premature ejaculation is considered to be present if the man "comes" in less than 2 minutes or within a period that does not satisfy the partner and it prevents her from enjoying it.
The causes of premature ejaculation are considered to be of a psychological nature, although this phenomenon has not been fully elucidated. It has been noticed that anxiety (fear, nervousness) regarding sexual intercourse causes, in addition to possible impotence, premature ejaculation. The tension of the nervous system is certainly an unfavorable factor during the duration and quality of sexual intercourse. Penile hypersensitivity and PC (pubococcygeal) muscle weakness are factors that can contribute to the development of PE.
Primary premature ejaculation
This condition means that the man has never had sexual intercourse that was not accompanied by premature ejaculation. Pronounced emotional instability with regard to sex is characteristic of a person suffering from primary PE. Excessive masturbation (masturbation) in childhood is often one of the possible causes of PE. As part of the treatment of primary PE, it is desirable to include psychotherapy.
Secondary premature ejaculation
In the case of secondary PE, some kind of "fear of performance", ie fear before sex that may be associated with insecurity in one's own manhood or excessive desire to leave a good impression in bed, plays a significant role. A man often subconsciously fears that he will lose his erection, so he "speeds up" sex in order to "finish" successfully. Stress of any kind is a significant factor in the development of secondary PE.
Treatment of premature ejaculation involves a wide range of means - from psychotherapy, relaxation and stress relief, through the use of anesthetic creams to reduce sensitivity in the penis, special methods and exercises used during intercourse, to taking antidepressants in severe cases.
Research shows that sexual satisfaction and success are closely linked to self-confidence. If you are exposed to frequent episodes of premature ejaculation, male self-confidence and sexual desire will inevitably decline.
